George J. Laub, 83
FDNY battalion chief
George J. Laub, 83, died on April 26, 2016. He was born on Staten Island.
Surviving are his spouse, Stella Laub, and children, Maryalice, Nancy and George, and six grandchildren.
George served in the Navy from 1953 to 1957. He served on the USS Keepler in the Korean War. He then joined the FDNY from 1957 to 1995 and was a battalion chief.
George loved his family and his family loved him. He also loved to travel and loved to go out to eat. He will be truly missed.
The wake will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Harmon Funeral Home on Forest Avenue. The Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at St Rita's Church on Wellbrook Avenue.
