Nobody taught their students the way Mr. C taught his students. Yes, he wanted his students in his music class to learn about musical theory, but most of all he wanted his sophomores to learn where their true identity came from. At that age of 15-16 years old, we put on all sorts of masks to fool our classmates, our friends, and ourselves. Mr. C saw through all of this, and humbly and gently helped each of us pull away our own masks to see that our true identity is found in Jesus Christ. This wonderful man changed this particular student's life, as well as countless others. Well done, Good and Faithful Servant! Off to your heavenly reward...

In my years at Msgr. Farrell, "Mr. C" as we all knew him, spoke to students forthrightly about Jesus in a way that few other teachers did. While his classroom was in the basement (which I recall him often joking about), he let his light shine forth. Your words of wisdom touched many. Rest in peace.

I played in a Rock and Roll band with Larry when we were in high school. We called ourselves Larry and the Checkmates. Larry was one hell off a rock drummer. We performed at one of the very first Monsignor Farrell High School dances (around 1963). We did not perform on the main stage. Instead, we were told to set up on the running track located above the gym. It turned out to be a great gig, and we eventually did get to perform on the main stage. Great times! I am sure that Larry is directing the band up in Rock and Roll Heaven. God speed my friend!
