Today, I was told the amazing story of Judge Marano by his kind daughter, Mrs. Mattina, who always talks with me whenever she sees me at the local grocery store. She told me of how he was a kind family man who raised his children with love, how he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and how he was also a lifelong public servant in the state of New York. From what I have heard of his life story, I am convinved that Judge Marano was a great man, and his greatness as a man is reflected in the kindness of his children and his contributions to protecting justice in New York. Although I never met Judge Marano in person, I am sure that he is a role model that I can only aspire to be like, as Mrs. Mattina and I discussed how blessed both of us are to have had amazing childhoods with great parents. Our conversation leaves me with the conclusion that Judge Marano was an amazing person and father, and I know that he is in Heaven, having led the right life for both himself and his children. To Judge Marano, thank you for raising such a kind family, and for your service to this country. God bless you, and God rest your soul.
