My Aunt Mary was an exceptionally hilarious and generous person. It's hard to describe to friends who did not grow up in the same environment how lucky we all are to have had so many wonderful great aunts and uncles; suffice it to say it shaped who I am today. From her support of my sister when she lived just across the backyard, as she was raising my two toddler nephews so many years ago, to her friendship with my Nana, her sister in law and their colorful rhetoric: "Mariuch, do you have the carrotza?/Agatha (Agnes really) how are ya?, to her wonderful Sunday sauces and holiday gatherings. I'm so glad i was able to witness the making of the sauce from time to time. I always loved going to her house, and for a while when i was out of work she generously offered to pay me to clean her house. I always hung out for a while afterwards and she would tell me how all of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends were doing. This is 100% the end of an era, the last of my father's parent's generation of family. Thank you Aunt Mary, for everything you have given me and my family ♡
