To Carole, Jim, and Jimmy - I honestly don't have the words to express how much of a loss this is to so many people. And although it's too hard to condense almost 27 years of friendship (since kindergarten) and stories and memories into a words ... I'll try.

When I think of Amy, I see and think of:
Anything purple
Double-stuff Oreos
Powdered sugar doughnuts
Mountain Dew
Fun socks
Disney
B.O.B Publishing
Crossing state lines on the train - as minors!
Breaking a movie theater seat watching Jurassic Park
The Mona Amy and Jillanardo DaVinci
Stanley the Pig
A puzzle sent a few pieces at a time
Chasing seagulls on Daytona Beach
Picking lemons the size of grapefuits
Bowling in Beloit - and winning $20 from Jimmy
Sideways snow ... and what a stunning bride Amy made
Getting around Seattle with Chip
Just hanging out, no words necessary

All I ever saw - through the good years and into the past few months - was the caring, athletic, laughing, funny, shy (but not really), loving, intelligent friend from all those years.

To Jim and Carole. My deepest sympathies to you and your family! The last update I had regarding Amy was all the wonderful stories of great athletic accomplishments in college and the wonderful news of her marriage. I was not aware she was ill. It saddens me to see another friend taken by breast cancer, especially at such a young age. I have many fond memories of Amy from soccer and soccer camp at SHG. She was a giving and kind individual who always put a 100% towards her goals and dreams. She never gave up and always cheered on those who may have been having a bad day. May your memories comfort you in the days to come.

I met Amy five years ago when I started a new job at Joppatowne High School. After only working with her a few weeks, I new she was a special person. She became one of my 'bestest' friends. And even though we knew each other for such a short time.....I have a lifetime of wonderful memories! Amy was a very caring, loving and generous person....not to mention the BEST prankster around. She got me quite a few times. :-) She has showed me what it means to be a friend, the importance of spending time with those you love and giving life everything you got.

Jimmy, Carole and Jim, My thoughts, prayers and love are with you.

Amy....God has given you your next assignment, always our friend...forever our Angel.

Jim and Mrs O'Neill,
I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Amy. I had the pleasure of not only knowing her fun and generous spirit on the soccer field at Sacred Heart Griffin, but also sang the words, All I ask of you is forever to remember me, as loving you, at Kairos with Amy... and your note really struck me Jim. She was an incredible spirit and will have you all in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Ann
