Carol C. Eck
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Carol C. Eck, 78, of Springfield, passed away at 5:17 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.
Carol was born March 9, 1936, in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph Sherrock and Colleen Brancato. She married William "Bill" Eck on Feb. 23, 1957, in Springfield.
Carol was a graduate of Lanphier High School. She was a very proud and loving homemaker and mother. Carol also worked at Shop N Save for 10 years, where she enjoyed helping people. She also assisted her husband with his business as a bookkeeper. Carol was kind, caring, and had a good sense of humor. She enjoyed fishing and cookouts at the lake with family, loved animals, and had more than 100 rose bushes.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Eck of Springfield; her four children: Mary (husband, John) Sharp of Springfield, Tom (wife, Nancy) Eck of Springfield, Janice (husband, Greg) Stockus of Riverton, and Billy Eck of Springfield; two grandchildren, Brian Stockus of Springfield and Morgan (fiancé, Ryan Welch) Eck of St. Louis; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Private family ceremonies will be held at a later date.

Dear Eck Family, Carol was an amazing lady. I always looked forward to our chats at Shop N Sav. Being one of the kids from the neighborhood she always so thoughtful and kind fowards me. She could always make me laugh.She always asked about my parents. Carol may you rest in peace. You will be missed by many.
