Jim, Mary Ann, Katy and Ann,
I just heard about your mom Carolyn and wanted to let all of you know how sorry I am for your loss. I have so many great memories from my childhood of your mom and your family. We all had so much fun together and spent many hours at the house on Lowell. We watched several New Year's parades together, but no matter what we did it was always fun. My mom Ginny and your mom have been friends since college and they shared a very special bond. Carolyn was a womderful lady and she will be missed by us all.

To the family of Mrs. Daniels -
My name is Jim O'Neill and I was a student of Mrs. Daniels back in (probably) 1981 or so. I'd like to think I was her favorite student, but I am sure each of her students felt that way, as that was the kind of teacher and person she was. For many years, my Mom would see her at a grocery store or somewhere, and Mrs. Daniels would always tell my mom that she still had a picture that I drew in her first grade class of the Space Shuttle. She was certain that I would be a famous artist one day and joked that having one of his first drawings might make her rich. Although I didn't become a famous artist, her kindness, love and support - even in those conversations with my Mom long after I was in her class - has made me truly rich with her love.
I have been successful in life, and much of that is due to the love and support Mrs Daniels showed me as a first grader at Hay Edwards many years ago. She will always be one of my favorite teachers. I will ALWAYS remember her with much love, and I mourn her loss with you.
I truly regret not reaching out to her in recent years to tell her how lucky and thankful I am to be counted among her students.
May she Rest In Peace.

Carolyns family, Sorry for the passing of her. She is heaven with our Lord. I remember days when growing up on Lowell Ave and would come down to visit Carolyn, she was one in a million. When my daughter went to school over at Hay Edwards, she would always have a friendly hello and smile. Rest in Peace. Cherie Stark Spfld,Il
