Donnie was a dear heart. Never met a stranger and always made you feel his sincerity. Nothing phony about this man. To know him was to LOVE him. I feel blessed to have him as a friend and will always remember his JOLLY laugh.

To Don's Family, Please accept my sympathy. Don was the bailiff during many of my court appearances. Always enjoyed his comments about the proceedings and the participants.

Don was a great guy; one of the 'old school' bailiffs, before it became known as 'Court Security'.

During his years there, he saw a lot of new attorneys, judges, police officers, Deputies, Troopers and citizens come and go and helped many of them navigate the court system.

He was very kind, respectful, had a great sense of humor and a phenomenon work ethic. Even when he was struggling with this health, he was at work - with an 02 tank by his side - and never complained.

I'm glad he actually had some time to enjoy his retirement before passing away, because he certainly deserved some well-earned 'rest and recreation'.

Rest in peace, Don.
