BELVIDERE - Emma Redmond Rogers passed away December 10, 2012 in Belvidere, IL, at the home of her daughter. She was formerly a long time resident of New Berlin, IL.
Emma was born June 27, 1922 to Elmer and Ella Kirtley Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and four brothers. She married John Kenneth Rogers in July of 1942; they later divorced and he preceded her in death in 1995.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Ted) Farley of Olathe, KS, Sherry (Nick) Fafoglia of Chesterfield, MO, and Terri (Mike) Rogers of Belvidere, IL; grandchildren, Sara (Steve) McMahon of Lenexa KS, Todd (Heather) Farley of Olathe, KS, Eric and Lindsey Fafoglia of Chesterfield, MO and Allyssa, Alexis and Alivia Rogers of Belvidere, IL; five great-grandchildren; one niece; and three nephews.
Emma worked at the Illinois Department of Revenue serving 30 years before retiring at age 69 as a Tax Assessment Supervisor. She was a member of Island Grove United Methodist Church. Emma was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin.
Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Island Grove United Methodist Church, 16128 Old Jacksonville Rd., New Berlin. Burial to follow at Woodwreath Cemetery.
