Hartman "Harp" Spengler
ROCHESTER - Hartman "Harp" Spengler, 97, died on Monday, July 7, 2014.
Harp was born on Sept. 5, 1916, in Berry, the son of Charles Lemuel and Maude DeBell Killion Spengler. He married Margot Lorraine Mueller on March 10, 1946, in New City; she preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 1982.
He was a lifelong farmer and of the Christian faith and enjoyed life. He was a member of the Masons in Pawnee.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas (Sandra) Spengler of Pawnee and Gerald (Kim) Spengler of Rochester; two sisters, Marjorie Ross and Rosemary Alexander, both of Springfield; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester with Reverend Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Cotton Hill Twp.
