I'm so sorry to learn of Kathy's passing. She was our youngest son's 2nd grade teacher at Springfield Christian. It was ironic to get to meet her after I had worked with Kathy's husband Jim briefly in pharmacy. Small world. Kathy was an excellent teacher and beloved by everyone whose life she touched. We send prayers of sympathy and healing for Jim and your entire family, until that great reunion.

So sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. She taught both of my children in 2nd grade and it was my honor to be one of her co-workers at CES/SCS while she was there. Now she is with Jesus, but she will be missed here. God blessings and prayers to the family.

When people ask me what my favorite grade in school was- I always say 2nd & 8th. I have such great memories of Mrs. Sexton. I remember the games she'd play to help us get better at Math and problem solving, and introducing cursive writing. I remember 2nd grade was the year I learned to love reading which has stuck with me my whole life. I remember her candy jar and the way she'd laugh and smile and make you feel so important. It inspires me to think of how many kids she has influenced over the years. I'm sad that the earth has lost her but her legacy lives on, and we know that she has found healing in heaven. Praying for you all as you say goodbye.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Sexton's passing. She was my 2nd grade teacher at CES - I have many fond memories from being in her class. I enjoyed reconnecting with her these past couple of years as she would attend all of the sporting events of her grandchildren.
