Larry was one of my most favorite volunteers at memorial. He always brightened my day . Always had a smile on his face and always had a story to tell. For his age, he was always an inspiration for all of his work and volunteering. He was so full of energy. He will truly be missed so much by all of us who knew him and had the pleasure of working with him. memorial will not be the same without his smiling face, but he will always be remembered as a FAVORITE IN MY HEART. Larry was an person whom I was privileged and honored to befriend at the YMCA.
He worked out daily for many years in the Men's Health Club downtown and always showed up at Y West early Sundays.
I am one of many who called him Oatmeal Larry.
He lived a life of strong belief in God and family.
Larry is a legend with his many hours of being a volunteer helping others.

While we only have known Larry and Connie for a few years, Larry always made us feel like we were his close friends. He shared what he knows about history and life, and made all visits through the AAUW interesting. We are saddened by his passing.

What do you say about a Gentleman who has done it all, and done it his way. A great historian in the family, a great cousin, husband, father, brother, Uncle, volunteer, caring friend and neighbor, who can never be replaced. He earned his wings. God's speed Cousin. You will never be forgotten.
