Roberta was smart, hard working, thoughtful, honest and effective. She oversaw the creation of the first ever handbooks for medical providers participating in the Illinois Medicaid program, blending policy and diplomatic skill on behalf of Medicaid beneficiaries and providers. Always pleasant, always prepared, Roberta was a delight to work with. My deepest sympathy to her family and loved ones. She was one of a kind.

I knew Roberta from our Monday night dinner meetings of Springfield's Business & Professional Women's Club. For years we met each month. I learned how to be a first-rate state employee from her. Blessings to her loved ones!

I use to work with Roberta. Such a nice sweet lady. Had a lot of fun with her. She will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I worked with Roberta for a few short years beginning in 1991 when I was brand new to DPA. I learned much of what I know about Medicaid from her. She was a deeply caring person of great integrity and dedication to the department's mission. I truly enjoyed working with Roberta and offer my deepest sympathy to all of her family.
