She was among many of the wonderful ladies at West Side Christian Church that I looked up to. Shirley always volunteered to make meals, clean, you name it, Shirley was there to help out wherever she was needed. A true Christian lady and wonderful example to me. Will remember her sweet spirit. Jan and I are praying God's comfort for all the rest of our family and friends who will miss Aunt Shirley's exuberant love and hugs. We'll remember her smile and twinkle in her eyes as she flew around like a worker bee loving and caring for everyone she could. She made each of us feel like a specially loved flower who was cared for by her and loved by God. We're so thankful she is now in heaven with Our loving Father.
A heart-felt thank you to all who faithfully attended to Aunt Shirley these last years at Lewis, especially Karen, Ron and family, and Jennie. We look forward to our heavenly reunion. Tom and Jan Kern, Grass Valley, California.

I will never forget Aunt Shirley teaching me how to play Rummikub and how much fun it has been to share this game with friends and significant others over the years. She really got a kick out of this game and could still best us all even later in life. I hope her service is full of other wonderful memories of joyful times together and celebrates a life well lived.
