I was stunned to learn of Bruce's passing. The last time I saw Bruce was last year as I drove past him on Bayview Road. He was standing with his bicycle stopped at a stop sign with Jeff Morris. In my mind, this was pretty normal for Bruce and Jeff, here they were in Bayview having come from Anacortes, just for a ride. I never road with Bruce, but I did work a good number of shifts with him as we partnered as Shift Supervisors for “D” team in the refinery for about 6 years or more.
For all the years and all the shifts that Bruce and I worked together, Bruce treated everyone with respect and honesty at all times, in the refinery, to say this was a challenge, is a gross understatement. Through all those years, I learned a great deal about the refinery from Bruce and I learned a lot about Bruce.
To pass along just one of my observations; Bruce loved his wife and loved his family. This was obvious, not just one or two days a week, or on holidays, it was everyday. He talked of doing laundry, or cleaning the house, before a graveyard shift or having a meal ready for Chris before she got home from work. He spoke with a great deal of pride whenever he spoke about his kids whether it was High School, College or beyond. I know Bruce will be missed, but what can be better said about a man, than he loved and was loved by all those who knew him.

I am sadden by Bruce's passing. The last time I saw his ever-smiling face was at band practise back in 1961. I graduated and went on to WSU and flew in the Navy, but have thought often of "whatever happended to Bruce & Bob?"

I wish I could be at his service, as I always enjoyed his company as we sat next to each other for 3 years in band at MVHS.

I have still call MV my home although I have lived all over the East coast and SFO for 20 years being in corporate sales. I have retired in Gulf Shores, Alabama near Pensacola, Florida.

Please give my best to Bruce's family and to Bob too. Bruce was a quality Guy and I am am sure he will be greatly missed by his family. I feel honored to have known him,

I was sadened to hear of Bruce's passing. We worked together at the Puget Sound Refinery many years ago. We were "young bucks" on the Crude Unit together and car pooled in the early days. Always even tempered and always a pleasure to be around, Bruce will be missed by all who knew him. To his family, thanks for sharing him over the years.

Bruce will be greatly missed. We have been close friends since high school days, part of each others lives and families. Bruce always wanted to know why and how about everything. A great source of constant and interesting conversation. I will miss that most.

Saddened to hear about Bruce. We were friends since the first grade and recently got to be with him at our 50th H.S. reunion in August and had a wonderful time sharing our childhood experiences. My heart goes out to the family in your loss.
