I truly enjoyed working with Otto. His witty sayings always made me smile. I was only 19 years old when I started with the Concrete Municipal Court and he was my first Judge. He scared me to death with his thundering voice, but I soon learned his bark was much worse than his bite. I learned very quickly there was definate rules on how to dress and act in the courtroom, EVEN in little ol' Concrete. Being small town was no excuse to not be professional. Otto was one with moral character and integrity and his courtroom was run as such. One of Otto's favorite expressions was "peachy keen". Anytime I hear that phrase, I think of him fondly and smile. I was blessed to be able to work with him all those years. Thanks to the family for sharing him with us. If there is a courtroom in Heaven, I truly hope those angels tow the line, because if not . . . . Otto will set them straight! My condolences to his family.
