I served with Steve in Viet Nam from '65 to '66. I hadn't heard from my old buddy in a while and his Christmas Card came back last year. I was deeply saddened to find this obituary on line. My deepest sympathies to his family. He was a good friend and a fine Marine.

It's been almost a year grandpa, I still miss your laugh and crooked smile just as much as the day you passed. I love you so much. Give Shirley my love too.

Steve was great part of my teen years in Richmond. His '55 Chevy with an unbelievable "2nd gear" gave our "gang" lots of great excitement. Lots of fun times and stories. I was sadden to hear of his passing and will let others in the the bay area know of this sad happening. Semper Fi Stevo..

I know you are out of pain and in the loving arms of Shirley. God has reunited you two. I was inspired by both of you in the years that we were friends. My granddaughter Maddy and I will miss you, and know we will all be together again. You were an inspiration to so many, you gave so much. Marines like you never die, they live on in the Esprit de Corps forever. Semper Fi Marine, you have served well and true and earned your rest . God loves you and so do we.
