As a cheap young braves fan starting out on his own, I could not afford cable and could only keep up with my beloved Braves by radio. Every night I've listened and enjoyed the sincerity and honesty in which you described the scenes, good or bad. Thank you. You will be missed.

I became a Braves fan in the mid-80s when summer TV was reruns and Skip and Pete were so much more entertaining. Thanks for lots of wonderful calls.

Skip, your distinct way of commentating a Braves game will always be remembered as well as the way you helped fuel Braves Baseball to the entire country. You were there for the bad times and the great times. Your passing concludes a magical run of the braves dominance and our thoughts are with your family. I am very excited that Chip is able to carry on the tradition of baseball commentators first family... I hope the pain is over and you are at peace now...

I still recall his Sid slide call back in
1992. ..Braves win..Braves win !!!
He was the greatest. I have been a
Braves fan since we lived in Milwaukee several years ago..and remain one today. I truly enjoyed listening to Skip.
