Do not go gentle into that good night
Rage, rage against the dying of the light

Trudy was a wonderful, academically distinguished, fun loving person- she was my friend from those feisty years at the University of Sydney in the 1940s. With great devotion she cared for her elder sister for many years until her sister's death; she herself was extraordinarily brave dealing with her own physical disabilities after a severe stroke.
A dear and always witty and self-deprecating friend

Trudy was my very dear friend for some 30 years, and is now the last of that generation. She had the most gentle and kind nature and a generous spirit.

A wonderful travel companion, we shared many happy trips around Australia as well as the UK. She loved going out and about, even if it was just to the local Macdonalds!

It was my honour to look after her needs in her last years. I will miss her in so many ways.

Love and peace to you, my dear friend.
