Barrie was a much admired student at Hurlstone Agricultural High where he completed the Leaving Certificate in 1944 (I think). I was also a student there and Barrie was two years my senior. Although I did not know him personally, I did know that he excelled scholastically for which he was admired by his contemporaries as well as by the more junior students at the school.
This is to convey to Suzanne, who I had the pleasure of meeting at UNSW some years ago, and to her family, expressions of sympathy on your loss.
With very best wishes from Judy and David Hassall.
