I so much appreciated the ministry and friendship of both John and Alison Reid. They are people of love, compassion and caring. Genuine disciples of Christ.

One of God's choicest. The only bishop I can recall who paid me a pastoral visit as one of his ordained flock.

A splendid preacher, he upheld liberty and equality with justice for all, and, in his compassion for the needy, he was unflinching. His contribution to keeping Sydney Anglicans faithful to the gospel was enormous.

A great man of God whose ministry touched many throughout the Christian world. It was my privilege to be his secretary for many years and I am grateful for all he taught me in conversation and by example. My family and I mourn his passing but rejoice that he is now at home forever with Jesus.

A much loved, earnest, humble, and highly esteemed 'man of God'. A great encourager and teacher, a disciple of Jesus who impacted many lives for good for eternity, mine included.

Lovely gracious godly man. An honour to have been one of his secretaries. We enjoyed his Friday bible studies. He had a good humour. Kathleen

A wonderful teacher, preacher, mentor and friend - such a privilege to have known him and, at New College UNSW, to have worked with him when he was Acting Master and I was Dean.
