Dear Craig, Sarah, Ben and Jan, it's with our deepest sadness to receive the news on Karen. Karen was an excellent mentor for me starting out in the workforce, she was an extremely accurate typist who was hard working, calm and loved to have a laugh. We had such fun together in the office at Liddell. Many pranks and lots of laughs but also much hardwork, Karen was senior and ensured the work was done. Our young families shared many brilliant times together, one memory springs to mind; when Ben climbed our pool fence (first child to do this at our home), and Karen's response was 'Oh Ben'!! Calm as always...
Our families went different ways as our children grew. From our last couple of times together it was clear this disease was overtaking the gorgeous Karen we knew. It's with such heavy heart that I write this today, I will hold the memories of our times together close; her fun loving nature, unique laugh and remember Karen as the most beautiful person she was inside and out. With love the Barben Family
