Dear Aunty Lyn,
That laugh, that grin, those D&Ms - they will all remain with me forever. The most random thoughts and memories come up when I think of you.

When I was about 8yrs old, you caught me up the top of Mum and Dad's Hills Hoist clothesline and stood below me demanding I come down - calling me a "ratbag".

I'll never forget collecting chicken eggs in our PJs at the farm at Herons Creek near Port Macquarie and the outback loo there. I'm not sure I've experienced one with such character since.

I remember sharing Chinese food with you and Uncle Jeff in Brisbane and other times visiting you in Cairns where not even a shower can get rid of the sweat.

I have clear video snippets in my mind of us clothes shopping together, you helping me to surprise Mel for her 30th and organising a special spa day at Port Douglas for our 30th birthdays. Your beaming smile and cosy hugs when you've picked me up at the airport. How gorgeous you looked at my wedding.

We shared an entrepreneurial spirit, often coming up with new business ideas getting as far as product ranges, pricing and contact lists of who would buy our gift hampers or another service we could conjure up. As for supporting the maroons, well, let's not go there. We've often been compared to each other over the years, with some saying I was quite like you when you were growing up - but one thing won't change - I'm a blues supporter through and through.

I'm usually pretty good at putting words together on paper, but the words are all jumbled and I can't get them out. Your loving heart, your endless generosity and that contagious laugh will forever stay with all those who've had the privilege of crossing your path.

I'm so proud to be your niece.

Miss you and love you always.

To my wonderful Aunty Lyn,
Unfortunately the days of hearing that wonderful laugh have come to an end. I cannot remember a time when I was talking with you that you did not bring a smile to my face. You had an ability to light up a room with laughter and would usually focus on the positives of every situation no matter what the circumstances.
It crushed my heart when you, Uncle Jeff, Melissa, Andrew and Stuart decided to move to Queensland. Not because of the move itself but more so because you all suddenly became instant Queenslanders.
I never understood why you gave up the appeal of being Cockroaches for the slimey Cane Toad. I will miss the banter about which team was the better one, though I didn't have a chance with the Cockroaches only winning 1 series in the past 12.
With this in mind, if its one thing I know about that Cane Toad Spirit, is that they never give up. They find a way to band together to overcome adversity, which I'm sure your large family will be able to do.
Our condolences to all who's lives you have touched. You will be missed but not forgotten.
All our love and best wishes from Canada,

Matt, Karyn, Brieanna and Calvin. xxx

I will miss a life without my sister and the times we spent on the phone telling jokes and hearing her laugh. I recall the memories of growing up and riding our bikes, the time she was running and stepped on her shoe lace, fell and broke her nose.
I was totally amazed that at the age of 71 she travelled from Queensland to Sydney by a sit up overnight train for my birthday.
I will never forget.
Greg forever. x
