In 1941 my father , a nurse, was training in Rabaul. While he was there he converted to the Catholic faith of my mother. He received religious instruments from the local parish priest and Sister Berenice. I spent a couple of delightful hours with her a couple of years ago and felt that I was spending time with the last person on earth who knew my father. He lost his life at the TOL Plantation massacre in February 1942. RIP brave Sister Berenice.

Auntie Dympna will always inspire me. Although I will miss those little visits l'm grateful she is finally home and no more suffering ... A truly peaceful soul.
