RIP Merv, sorry not to have attended your funeral, was unaware of your passing until this week.
My association with Merv was with the Illawarra Catholic Club (Club Central Hurstville & Menai) where he was was a passionate Director over many years, and I was an employee. He was one of the most decent people one could meet in one's life, nobody's lackey, sincere to his principals.
May he rest in peace.

Rest in peace Merv. I was always proud of you and your achievements.Loved the times you would come here with Jim and Fran for lunch and a catch up. Margaret Thompson

Merv, your were a great Brother that I was always proud of as were my Sister Mary Haworth of Tamworth and Weabonga and my Brother Jim of Loftus. We were all born and raised at Walcha NSW, our Parents Jack and Ellen were equally proud of you and your achiements.

Mervyn you can be called MR SAINT GEORGE for all that you did for Hurstville Council, Rugby League, Illawarra Club and Club Central Meni.

From you Brother Kevin and Sister in Law Monica from Soldiers Point NSW
