I find it hard to think of a Sydney without Peter. My dear friend since 1966 when, straight of the boat, I met him at his Pitt Street office and he helped me get my first job in Australia. We set up Petra Programme which never took off but was fun on the ground. When I left Knight Howard he joined them and, a few years later, when I moved to the Schools Commission in Canberra in I guess 1972, he took my place at the NSW Health Commission - and made a name for himself in that field. We enjoyed debating and, with John Dowd, won a couple of trophies: Peter actor's voice (I remember his Pymble Players performances) was memorable. He became a conscientious and respected adjudicator. I left Australia in 1977 but we kept in touch, meeting up every couple of years - indeed we were to meet in February. So sad - I miss you dearly, Peter, my constant friend - Mike

Peter was a kind & loving person who always made time to listen to you. A fine mentor over the years that I was involved with the GLCS. He will be missed.

Peter always had time and kindness for me when I worked at GLCS. He never stopped learning, he never stopped advocating.
I am genuinely honoured to have known him.

I only met Peter a couple times through my work at Twenty10, but every time we spoke I was struck by how kind, passionate and intelligent he was. Thank you Peter for building the foundation upon which our activism is built.
