He must be so joyful that he is finally with Christ, the journey that he always taught us. The angels are singing, they are probably playing his songs. He was as close to heaven on earth as it gets and had an amazing way of showing us the path. I am sure he will continue to help us from above.

I took Fr. Dunne's Philosophy of Religion course as a student of the Great Books. Mrs. Pat(Fred) Crosson was auditing the course. After each class, we talked. I got to know the wife of one of my Profs thru John Dunne. fr. Dunne was a prefect in Zahm Hall when I was a sophomore. I talked with him one evening as he was reading an "autobiography of Nikos Kazanzakis, reprt from Greco.
One day I saw him leaving the library and i walked him back to seminary where he ate.
Finally, we talked a bit at a conference honoring Dr. Fred Crosson. In the middle of our conversation he said," I remember you."
I was blessed to hear his last talk at my 45th reunion this summer. I continue to read his books..and pray fo the repose of the soul of a very holy man, very good writer and musician and wonderful teacher.

A genuine mystic. His classes were a spiritual experience.
