SOUTH BEND - Michael Bernard Roseman of South Bend, Indiana, passed away March 12, 2017, at Riverside Hospital in Noblesville, Indiana, after a long illness. He was a resident of Harbor Manor Nursing Home in Noblesville. Michael was the youngest of five children of the late Robert Lee and Arlene Roseman, James Samuel (deceased), Perry Douglas, Robert Lee Jr (deceased), and Barbara Michelle Roseman. He attended South Bend Washington High School and graduated 1977. Michael later attended Indiana State University but found his passion in the technical trades by attending Ivy Technical Institute in South Bend. Michael took those skills and purchased rental properties for rehabbing. Michael designed contemporary furniture and went into business as Michael Bernard Designs. He was involved in many local community and civic activities. Michael worked at St. Joseph Hospital for 23 years in Supply Chain and attended St. Augustine Catholic Church. Michael enjoyed good friendships within his community and he enjoyed domestic and international travel. Michael is survived by his brother, Perry D Roseman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Barbara Michelle Roseman of Indianapolis, IN. Michael leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. on March 25th, 2017, at Lavenia & Summers Home for Funerals, 5811 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46218.

I have many cherished memories of Mike. When I began working at St. Joe Medical Center around 1990, Mike was on the second shift and always had NPR's jazz playing in the background. He was incredibly organized, and we would often chat about who graced the cover of GQ magazine. Mike never failed to offer a kind compliment, and I frequently assisted him with the medical supplies during his shift. I hold him dear to my heart, even though we lost contact around 1999. Today, he crossed my mind, and I looked him up, only to discover that he had passed away. Life sure is strange, isn't it? Rest in peace, my good friend.

To the Roseman family, I am deeply sadden in hearing of the passing of Michael. We worked together at the hospital during our high school and college years. We have great memories of that time. On several occasions, Michael and his mother welcomed me in their home with open arms. He will be missed. God bless.

Over the past 40 years of friendship, I've learn that people will forget what you may have said, people will forget what you may have done, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
