MISHAWAKA - Michael J. Talbot Sr., 72, passed away on Thursday, September 9th, in his son's home in South Bend. Michael was born on August 30, 1938, in South Bend, to Joseph and Dorothy (Tubbs) Talbot. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Judy O'Brient. On May 2, 1959, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend, he married the former Jean Ann Zeitler, who preceded him in death on June 8, 2004. Surviving are two daughters, Michele Talbot of Bradenton Beach, FL, and Kathy Carlson of Bradenton Beach, FL; three sons, Michael (Jackie) Talbot of Osceola, Joseph (Jackie) Talbot of South Bend and Christopher (Keri) Talbot, also of South Bend; 13 grandchildren, Tony, Bryce, Christopher Jr., Camron, Diante, Ricky, Brian, Ashley, Ryan, Ted, Krystin, Austin and Brittany; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Isabell. Michael was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for New Energy as a boiler operator for 15 years. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 13, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Michael's name be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
