I wanted to send my condolences to the family of Nick. I didn't know him but it touched close to home. My mother was murdered to years ago and it has been very hard for my family. An when an officer that protected his community is killed it bring back memories of the day my mother was killed. I hope that your memories of Nick get you through these hard times. My thought and prayers are with the family and friends of Nick Polizzotto.
Sincerely,
Leslie Carr

Like many others, I did not know Nick. But the sadness still weighs heavily in my heart. Such a tragic loss. My heart aches for his young son, whose father was taken so quickly and far too soon. My thoughts and prayers to all of Nick's family and friends and the officers of SBPD.

God Speed, Nick
You will always be a hero

Dan-
It's been forty years since we last crossed paths and I still think of the positive influence you had on my life. Although I never met Nick, I am sure that he received the same positive coaching as I did.

Words can't express my sorrow for you and your family but, rest assured, time will heal the tremendous hurt you are feeling. My deepest sympathy goes out to you, Dan.

I am truly saddened at the loss of yet another police officer. Such a young man with a long future ahead of him. It seems so unfair to see him killed after his choice to protect and serve. I am sure he was needed more by God in heaven than we can ever begin to understand.

God has left his family, colleagues and friends with an open wound in their hearts, which will heal with time. The wound will be replaced by a scar for everyone to remind us of Nick's value to his family and the community.

God Bless and Take Care,

The Shevetz's, supporters of all law enforcement...
