Mark was an extremely encouraging and creative soul. He wanted everyone around him to succeed so much. He didn't think of his own needs. It was always a bright spot in my day to talk to him or watch him a explore a home. He will be greatly missed here but I know he is doing big things right now.

Mark had a knack for making people feel like they have known him all their lives. He never missed an opportunity to help someone in time of need. He gave everything he had to others including giving away his car one time to someone who needed it more than he. Seriously, that is really saying something about the giving spirit and character of this genuinely good hearted man.

Mark loved to sing too. Two of his favorite broadway shows were "Rent" and "Phantom of the Opera." In fact, Mark discovered my son, Stephen's, singing ability. I remember being in the parking lot of my church and I heard this baritone voice coming from the parked cars. I looked around and there was Mark coaching Stephen to keep singing louder and louder. Stephen was around 14 or 15 years old at the time and I was pretty surprised at hearing his voice since I never even knew my son could sing like that before. Mark just thrived at being able to bring the best out of everyone he knew and loved.
Mark was always fun to be around. He loved life and people and with his spontaneous personality he was always up for an adventure.

I had hoped that he would have recovered to be around us all for a long time. But now that he is gone, it is like a light went out inside me. However, I know he would not want me to be sad about his passing.

Mark told me a story about a beautiful vision he had about heaven. He said he was in his early twenties and that he was a little shook up about it because he did not know what the vision meant. Now, that his spirit is with God, he can finally know all the things that he wondered about here on earth. Even though he is not here physically with us, he will always be our hearts.

In the meantime,I can see him racing around heaven like a little kid, reuniting with his mom and dad and singing his heart out like he loved to do. I will always remember his infectious smile and all the great memories.

I only hope that we can all give honor to God in the same way as Mark has done. As a very special brother, proud uncle, and loyal friend enters into heaven God is surely saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." Mark...You have won the ultimate prize my friend. Love and miss you.
