I was a year ahead of Nancy at Tower Hill School in the late 1970s. She was a full - fledged member of our tight circle of nonconformist [& sometimes naughty] friends (the "Jells"). It was no small feat for a young woman to break into what was essentially a club for [at least temporarily] Lost Boys. Indeed, the last time I saw her in person was at a wake for our fellow "Jell," Chris Wilson. It had been too many years since seeing her. I was not one bit surprised to learn she was at that time working at the Fair Hill, MD Equestrian facility. She had loved horses and animals since before high school. I'll also remember collaborating w/ her in school theatre productions ( can you say Kim McAffee in "Bye, Bye, Birdie"?). What a gorgeous natural singing voice! I only learned of her passing from a THS Alumni magazine today, so I apologize for coming so late to this.

Peace be with you, Nancy

Nan was the woman who first taught me what true friendship looked like. She was an angel trying to live in this human world. And now she's home, where she is receiving the love she deserves.
