Dear Joanne, Sonny and families,

Our dear Aunt Clara . . . I remember her kindness and generosity with us as children. And with me in particular, when as a teenager, I had a long stay in Millville Hospital. She checked in on me every day to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. And if there was something that she thought would make me happy, she would bring it from home. This will always be remembered.

I would like to share this story about grief. The source is unknown. "A cut finger is numb before it bleeds, it bleeds before it hurts, it hurts until it begins to heal. It forms a scab and itches until finally, the scab is gone and the a small scar is left where once there was a wound. Grief is the deepest wound you have ever had. And like a cut finger, grief goes through stages and leaves a scar. I find this story helpful as I think about the death of my loved ones and believe it hurts so much now but as time moves on the wound heals and the scar is left. Memories are what we hold of our loved ones."

We will always remember Aunt Clara.

Thoughts and prayers are with you.
God bless you and guide you.
