Jeannette C. Gaddy, 67, of Bridgeton died early Friday morning February 15, 2013 at the Innova Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hammonton where she had been a patient for the last year. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Virginia E. Girton Gaddy. A longtime resident of Fayette Street in Bridgeton, she formerly lived in Shiloh and also in Quinton. She was a graduate of Salem High School and also attended Salem Community College. A certified nurse's aide, Miss Gaddy worked at Bridgeton Hospital for 31 years and also had been employed at Rainbow Nursing Center (now Eagle View) and at the former Goldfinch House in Bridgeton. Jeannette had been affiliated with the Aldine United Methodist Church and was a self-described cat lover. She also enjoyed horses as a hobby in her younger years. Survivors include a brother, James J. Gaddy of Hopewell Twp., two sisters, Barbara Boyles of Tipton, MO and Sharon Lee Jester of Quinton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Lester Gaddy and a sister, Thomisina Jones. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday afternoon February 18th at 2 o'clock at the FREITAG FUNERAL HOME, 137 W. Commerce St. in Bridgeton where friends will be received from 1 until 2. The interment will take place at East View Cemetery in Salem. So sorry to hear of Jeanette's passing. This brings back many wonderful school memories from elementary school in Quinton and all through high school. My memories always include her smile and giggles. God bless.
