Dear Lang family,
As we talked about Mr Lang as an eighth grade teacher, we remember sternness, firmness, and great fairness, and frankly, great inspiration to learn, grow and improve. Oh, we remember Bob McCreary's enthusiastic reports to Mr Lang of a Pittsburgh / New York world series game, but we also remember a great rapport that caused us all to read history and current events with more discernment. Our sympathies on your great loss. Jim & Pam

My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Lang's family at this difficult time but hearing his name brought back fond memories of having him as a teacher. I remember one occasion where he told the class a rather long, 'cerebral' (for a 7th grade class of know it alls) joke about a man who polished a cannon his entire career. When he retired he purchased the cannon. When asked why the man replied "I am going into business for myself!" And I was the only one who laughed because the rest of the class had already made a pact not to laugh no matter what the joke, but I hadn't gotten that message and liked the joke. He was an excellent teacher both in subject and life. I am so blessed to have known him. I hope your memories will carry you through this hard time......

Dear Mrs. Lang & family. Mr. Lang was my 8th grade history teacher, but it was his firmness and fairness which helped shape our young lives. My condolences to you all.
