Dear Cassi Family,

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Cassi. As a Deptford High School grad in 1966, I've had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Cassi since 1963--the first track meet I ever participated in as a freshman was at Williamstown, and Mr. Cassi was one of the officials. His encouragement and kindness that day launched me into a lifelong involvement with sports, and, happily for me, a long association with Mr. Cassi. Mr. Cassi was the epitome of what a gentleman, sportsman, and educator should be---you can be sure that thousands of young people greatly benefitted from the wonderful contributions Mr. Cassi made as a teacher, coach and administrator. He was truly a caring and unselfish man, and over the past 50 yeaars it was ALWAYS a pleasure to chat with him at a meeting or banquet. He was one of the two or three (at the most!) "opposing" coaches I've known over the years that I wished I could have been coached by--a true role model!
Although this is a time of sadness, I am certain that the wonderful memories you have of Mr. Cassi, in time, will once again bring a smile to your lips and a twinkle to your eye everytime you think of him!

With deepest sympathy,

Bryant Heisinger
