Charles F. Demaree, 93, of Bridgeton died peacefully at his home after an extended illness on Sunday evening September 15, 2013. The husband of the late E. Iva Demaree (nee Ayars), who died in 1999, he was the son of the late Alva and Eliza Hyatt Demaree. Mr. Demaree was born in Gastown, IN and had been a 40 year resident of his current address. He worked for over 35 years in quality control at the former Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton. He is survived by one son, Dennis C. Demaree Sr. and his wife Betty A. Demaree of Millville, five grandchildren, Donna Chew (Preston), Carol Lane (Derek), Catherine Jeffries (Robert), Denise Farley (Charles) and Dennis C. Demaree Jr. (Karrie), eight great grandchildren, Kristen Moler (Jayson), Steven Chew, Michael Dimacale, Caitlin, Morgan and Charles Farley Jr. and Rebecca and Dennis Demaree III, three great great grandchildren, Alexis, Madison and Ryleigh Moler. He was predeceased by a son, James E. Demaree and six sisters, Cleo Taylor, Dot Oliveri, Clara Parker, Mary Gilman, Alta Harvey and Helen Demaree. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the FREITAG FUNERAL HOME, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton on Wednesday afternoon September 18th at 3 o'clock where friends will be received from 2 until 3. The interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family urges contributions to be made to Alzheimer´s Association, 3 Eves Drive, Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053.
