Carol Paquette Obituary

Carol J (Soderholm) Paquette, age 70 of West Bridgewater died Thursday, May 20, 2010 after a brief illness. She was the wife of 51 yrs to Robert L. (Bob) Paquette. Carol was born in Brockton, but a lifelong resident of West Bridgewater. She is survived by her parents, Marjorie (Augustine) Soderholm, of South Easton, MA and Bruce C Soderholm Sr. of West Bridgewater, MA. Her 2 daughters Janice Knox of Hanson, MA and Tracy Long and her husband Peter of Alton Bay, NH. Her grandchildren Joseph, Richard, Daniel Knox, Andrew and Amanda Long. Her brother Bruce C Soderholm Jr. and wife Janice of Naples, FL. Sister Linda Collier of Wilmington DE and the late David Soderholm. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, an uncle and many cousins. Carol graduated from WBHS in 1957 and went on to Grace Downs Air Career school in NYC. Upon graduation, she worked at Logan Airport for Northeast Airlines. She then went into her long 50 yr. career of being a Travel Agent. She worked at Louis Benjamin Travel in Brockton, Brockton Travel, Holiday Travel, Boufides Travel, Cushman Travel and up until January, StonehIll Travel. Carol enjoyed many things. Her children and grandchildren, cards with her girlfriends, traveling with her husband, sitting by her pool, reading, laughing, balloons, and people. Most of all her husband. Funeral Service in Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Main Street, Bridgewater, Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 10 a.m. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visiting hours in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Donations in Carols name may be made to the COPD Foundation, 2937 SW 27th Ave.,Suite 302, Miami, Fl 33133 or the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd.,Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451. Deatr Bobby, Janice, Tracy, family and friends, we are so sorry for your loss. We have not seen much of you over the years but when we did come up and went to your house on July 4th we always had great fun. We will remember Carol always as a warm, wonderful, happy, fun, easy going person who loved to laugh and enjoyed life! You and she are in our thoughts and prayers, always.
