I can't believe you've been gone for a year. Still doesn't seem real. My heart aches the as it did the day you left. Please continue to watch over us and send signs so we know you're there. We love you and miss you, Mom....every day, every minute, every hour.....Love you, miss you, need you. xoxo

Dave, Kelly, Sherry & Jody. Your Mom was one of a kind. I have no idea how I would have made it through those years we lived on Plymouth without her. Walking in my pj's out our door & into yours, bottle of wine & conversation for therapy every Friday night, Rita helping me find the kitty when John hit it with the car, looking for John our running when my Dad died. She was always there when I needed her. John, Danielle, Katy & I are heartbroken for all of you but I know her spirit lives on. We love you!

Dave, Kelly, Sherry and Jody. Sorry to hear about Rita. We cherish the memories on Plymouth Street with all of you. Great times were had with the revolving door~! Great memories were made with Matthew visiting his Deeda and Rita and the many forts that were built in your living room~!

Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we are still
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.

She was one strong lady...now I know where her daughters get their strength and toughness from.
