RIP Rick! Things in heaven will never be the same with you up there. They will never be the same here either with you "up there". So many GOOD '70s memories!

As a life-long basketball fan and a Utah alum, I count Rick's tenure at Utah among my fondest memories. He took a once-powerful team that had sunk into a moribund status and not only returned it to power status, but elevated it to new heights.

Beyond that, he mentored many young men and helped to put them on a path to life achievements that they might well have never reached otherwise. The graduation rate among his players was among the highest in the NCAA which says a lot about Rick and the program he ran.

He was a unique individual and one of the finest basketball minds of all time. He will be sorely missed by all who love the game of college basketball.

When a Men's Division 1 Basketball coach at a major university (Utah) took a one year leave of absence to care for his ailing mother - he earned my respect as a real man. A caring man. The type of man I can only hope to be.

May God rest you soul Couch Majerus. Peace be with you.

Will miss you in that sweater. Best coach ever.
