Because of Sparky, I watched baseball for at least 2 seasons...the seasons they won the championship. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Growing up in Middletown in the 50's and
60's and following The Big Red Machine in
the 70's, Sparky and the ball players were like relatives to us.It was a huge part of our lives. Sparky Anderson was a Treasure to the Cincinnati Reds and to the city of Cincinnati.

I spent my childhood at Tiger Stadium with my father. No one can compare to Sparky. My prayers are with his family,friends and fans. One in a million!

My deepest sympathy to the Anderson family, my dad was a true admirer of him when he managed the Reds, with Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench, Pete Rose and all the other great players, he will be truly missed. He set the example high on how to be a manager with a heart.
