Just entering my teens Barbara Ann inspired me to take up figure skating at the Toronto Skating Club following a paralytic illness from which I fully recovered and competed in Junior Nationals
My deepest sympathies to Tommy and all those who loved her.

Our family would like to convey our condolences to the family of Ms. Scott. Our mother (the late) Marilee Martha Vaillant (nee McNeill) was a club professional in the late 50's in Port Arthur, ON and spoke of Ms. Scott often. I am not sure of they ever met, however our mothers love for figure skating is instilled in all members of our family. Thank you for her inspiration

I remember seeing her skate and every day I went to the rink I kept the vision of her grace and beauty in mind.
Barbara will never be forgotten. Her legacy lies in what she has made possible for those who followed her. My heartfelt condolences to her family.
