Grady Marion Rochester
PACOLET MILLS, SC-- Grady Marion Rochester, 78, of Pacolet Mills, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at his home. Born August 18, 1934, in Jonesville, SC, he was the son of the late Ezell and Camilla Fowler Rochester.
Mr. Rochester was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church, retired from the SC Department of Corrections, was a 50-year member of Jonesville Masonic Lodge #139, and a former member of the SC National Guard.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Louise Cook Rochester; daughter, Lisa T. Anderson of Pacolet; grandchildren, Brandon Turner and Hannah Grace Anderson; and sisters, Betty Ward, Mary Jo White, and Rita Webber, all of Jonesville.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Friday, December 14, 2012, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Ralph Jett and the Rev. Dr. Tim Fowler.
Honorary escort will be members of the Sr. Men's Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brown's Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 396, Pacolet Mills, SC; or Family Connection of SC, (serving families of children with special health care needs), 1650 Skylyn Drive Suite 240, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
