I've been a Shelby Fan ever since I first heard about the now legendary Cobra over 45 years ago. I had the privilege of owning one of Carroll's original 427 Cobras, several Shelby Mustangs and Tigers. 30 years later, I own a 427 replica which I treasure, drive and enjoy immensely.

Carroll created a team that rocketed across the racing stage like a comet. It says a lot about the man and his team's creation that it is the most replicated car ever...by far. His impact on car lovers is immeasurable.

The man is gone, but his legend will live forever.

Carroll Shelby, Ken Miles, Dave MacDonald...there's a heck of a reunion going on.

Rest In Peace Carroll as a boy i dreamed of owning a Shelby and may be test driving a Cobra, but i also wanted to meet you because of so much i read about you but one day when i own a Shelby on that day i know i will finally meet you still keep riding in our hearts. My condolences to the Shelby he was a great man and will truly be missed.

to the entire shelby family I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences. I grew up in the bay area in northern ca. and had a math teacher named Mr. Wieman he was a true shelby lover as he owned a 289 and 427 origanal aluminun bodied cobras I will never forget the awsome sounds that resonated from the exaust pipes of these beautiful cars your presios carroll was truly an american icon . the shelby legend will never be forgotten. with all my Love Jon Montgomery Bakersfield Ca.

My family, friends, and I are all terribly saddened by the loss of such an amazing, revolutionary, powerful man. He changed the world through his cars and philanthropy. His fervor for what he did inspired me a few years ago to get my hands greasy under my own hood, learn about my machine, and do everything possible to become one with the mechanical beauty. I'm sure he'll turn the golden paths above into his personal race track. God bless his soul. In Nomini Parti, et Filu, et Spiritu Sancti.

TO THE SHELBY FAMILY OUR SINCEREST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF OUR FRIEND CARROLL. CARROLL AND MRS SHELBY GRACED US WITH AN APPEARANCE AT OUR SHELBY OWNERS ASSN CONFERENCE IN 1975 AND THIS WAS ACTUALLY HIS FIRST APPEARANCE AT A CAR GATHERING FOR HIS CARS. I REMEMBER HE WAS VERY GRACIOUS AND TOOK TIME TO AUTOGRAPH EVERYTHING THAT WAS PUT IN FRONT OF HIM FOR HOURS. HE EVEN TOOK TIME TO RIDE IN MY WIFES 69 GT-500 CONVERTIBLE WHICH HE LOVED. MAY HE REST IN PEACE
