I receive notifications each year from LinkedIn that it is Charlie's birthday. It always gives me pause, but allows me to reflect on the Baxter's family loss and my time spent with him during our days in India Company at The Citadel. Charlie may be gone, but know that he is not forgotten. With respect, Paul Buhler

Dear Friends,
It's with a heavy heart and stunned disbelief that I write this entry and recognize that Charlie has passed away. It seems like only yesterday that a group of young men from various parts of the country and all walks of life gathered for the first time on the hot quad of India Company. The Citadel's system transitioned us from strangers, to acquaintances, to friends, and then to brothers – and we will sorely miss our brother Charlie.
Cheryl, my deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I do not think that I can top Tim's sentiments, I can only reiterate them. Coleman Cox was kind enough to inform me of Charlie's passing and I too am in shock. Even though over 25 years have passed it still seems like yesterday that we experienced "India Company" together. Charlie you and your family are in my families prayers.
God Bless and God Speed

I'm completely stunned to be writing a condolences note to the family of Charlie Baxter; to suppose that there is an end date to the life of a classmate and a truly honorable man.
There is a group of men who are now scattered across the world that will always remember hot, humid days in Charleston, SC and Baxter, C.D. Charlie put Bulls Gap, TN on the map for all of us and a smile on our faces. Although outwardly we have changed since we departed India Company, we will always remember Charlie, his wry sense of humor, his love for his family, and his sense of honor.
To Cheryl and the rest of the Baxter family, please know how sorry I am for your loss. Please let us know your contact information so that we can get the word out to the rest of Charlie's classmates. I will keep you all in my prayers.
God bless you.

Cheryl and family-
In this time of sorrow and transition, know that Charlie Baxter was a man who lived a life of impact. I will miss his calm, steady voice of reason and intelligence. Charlie was always willing to assist and go the extra mile - even simple emails could become a classic textbook example for an interface workflow. I loved that about him! He will be sorely missed by all at Iatric Systems, leaving a giant's footprint. The last words we exchanged were his birthday greeting last week. He was quick with a reply and a humble thanks.
If you need anything, please let us know as we are just around the corner. Tricia and I are holding you and the family in our prayers and deepest thoughts. May God bless you in this time of transition and rest in the sweet assurance of his eternal homecoming.
