I remember Gene as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather; and as a helpful and unassuming friend. He helped me find my first job in Spokane over 35 years ago as a welder's helper and helped me move into our current home.

Every time you light a candle, that shows that some one dear to you is looking down at you, as i do this for birthdays & Holidays then I know they are with me and that make me smile!I hope this will work for you !as they are with you always!!

Our condolences to Gene's family and friends from the checkers at Safeway where Gene frequently shopped.

He was the kindest, most giving, caring man. We at Safeway knew him as "The Candy Man" as he would slip you a small piece of candy after he was done talking to you, going through your checkout line.

We were greatly saddened to see that Gene had passed. We hadn't seen him in the store for quite some time and were wondering if he had become ill.

I certainly enjoyed seeing Gene coming to my line as I looked forward to seeing his smile and the candy, of course. :)

We am very sorry to hear of Gene's passing. He was a wonderful man and he was one of our favorite patients. He use to tell us stories of his time as a firefighter and Navy man when he would come in to our office. When he told us he was switching to his new wife's dental office we felt like we were losing a part of our family. We always hoped he would return to our office-- now it saddens us to know we will never see him again. Our sincere condolences to his daughter Karen and partner, Laura. Gene, thanks for the memories and great laughs. Roberta @ Dr. McKennon's office
