Linda and I bonded over an NCAA championship basketball game and a beer several years ago at the Q and we never looked back. So many hours sharing casino drawing nights, Seahawks football, Gonzaga basketball and other sporting events. She was NOT a fan of Arena Football. Spicy food, college football, most wine and micro beer were not her favorites, but she tried to aquire a taste whenever I suggested she try something new. Often she would give me her " bitter beer face " and I would have to finish her drink while she went back to her Coors Light or Bud Light Platinum or Sutter Home White Zinfandel . I was always tryng to stretch her borders.

We enjoyed our girls weekends, playing games late into the night. concerts and many shared meals. Be it at Masselows, Jack and Dan's, Jack in the Box, grilled cheese sandwiches in the hotel room, Swinging Doors or random pizza and beer we always laughed. I think I miss that most. The laughter and our random text messages, sometimes just emojis.

I would often tell her "I don't know why we are friends" when we didn't agree on something. She would laugh and say, "ME neither." But we both knew we ALWAYS had someone who would listen without judgement, advise when necessary and above all provide support. I will always cherish our friendship.

Linda was a great friend, co-conspirator, anchor, teacher, advisor, helper, co-worker, and for a while, an employee.

She taught me so many things:

* Don't get old
* Take care of your teeth
* Learn how to wipe with both hands
* Learn how to walk with crutches before you need to
* The importance of a good spoon
(just to name a few)

Linda kept me abreast of the Seahawks and Gonzaga schedules. She had a great sense of humor, always looked on the positive side of things, and found the silver lining in all of life's adventures.

She was the glue that put together the NQ5 - a group of ladies that tried to get together one weekend a month for fun & laughter (therapy for me!).

Linda, you are sorely missed.
