Vic and I worked together for quite a few years at Hewlett Packard and then Agilent. It was always an enjoyable experience whenever there was occasion to see him. He had a sharp sense of humor and laughed easily about life – including at himself sometimes. His strong sense of justice would also come into play at times – he wasn't afraid to speak up when he saw others getting the short end of the stick. Vic seemed to me to be a real “salt of the earth” type of person, and I had great respect for him. He will be missed but certainly not forgetten.

Sorry to hear the news. He was so much part of the Agilent family!

Dear Chris and family,
You did an amazing job planning Vic's celebration of life......I was so impressed that Cherne's son spoke during the service; a true testimonial to Vic's impact on your kids and grandkids' lives. There were so many people there which says so much about yours and Vic's friends and how much we all care about you. Take care my good friend.....and remember the happy times.

So sorry to hear of your sudden loss. Vic was an asset to any team he was on and always brought a sense of humor and a smile. My sincere condolences, Chris and family.

So very sorry to hear the sad news. I always enjoyed Vic's quick wit and laughter, and charming 'accent'. My heartfelt condolences to the family. I know he will truly be missed.

The service was extremely wonderful. It was a perfect way to celebrate Vic's life and the many souls he touched. I'm so glad that I was able to call him my friend. Vic will live on in our hearts forever and I will always see his big smile and warm heart.

Chris and Family, I know you all have an empty spot in your hearts, please fill it with happy memories of Vic. May the good Lord keep you in the hollow of his hands.

Vic's services were very nice! It's a true mark of a man when so many friends and family come to pass respects - and from so many different circles. We'll miss Vic on the pitch! Bob and Ann

I had the privilege of being Vic's family doc for many years. He was a kind and gentle soul loved by me and everyone in my office who knew him. I have always been jealous of that little gold earring. On him it was very cool. We will all miss him.

To Vic's family.....I think I can still feel one of Vic's shots on goal and when we were on the same team he was always tolerant of my play. I loved his wit and sense of humor and I think we have all benefited from knowing him. Actually there are probably some things we can get better at.....we just won't have him to remind us, but we have the memories to relate to and emulate. Ron Cater
