From the very first time I ever ate at the beacon in Elementary School, until now as an adult, Mr. JC still made me nervous when it came to placing my order... not because he was intimidating, but becasuse you knew if it came your turn and you didn't know what to order or how to order he would stop the line or you'd have to step out of line and get yourself together because he was a mover and a shaker and you needed to be ready to order when he said those famous two words, "CALL IT!" he kept a smile on your face and created a loving workplace. It breaks my heart to learn of his passing away, but I take joy in knowing I had the pleasure of meeting a Spartanburg Icon and I know he is smiling and making every all the loved ones gone on before him smile as well. The family will be in our prayers. God Bless You!

With Deepest Sympathy,

Yes, J C it's that Jonesville crowd standing in your line to order our "Chili Cheese-A- Plenty"! We will certainly miss hearing you call our orders out. For, it was your theatrics that made the Beacon Experience so special and delicious! We will miss your voice and physical presence at the Beacon. But, we will treasure our time and experience with the "Greatest Order Caller Ever"(JC)! May God Bless you-

I always looked forward to seeing J.C. on our visits home. It won't be the same at the Beacon without him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him over the years. God Bless this wonderful soul.
