Jerry DIETSCH Obituary


News Death Notice

DIETSCH, Jerry Age 83, of Springfield, passed away Aug. 4, 2015 at Springfield Regional Hospital. He was born May 19, 1932 in Columbus, OH to the late Fred and Elsie Dietsch. Jerry was a member of the Masons and retired from Navistar. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; son, Douglas Dietsch; brother, Jack Dietsch; and sister, Nancy Phillips. Survivors include his son, Donald E. (Connie) Dietsch, Sr.; granddaughter, Shannon (Jason) Clark; grandson, Donald E. (Brittney) Dietsch, Jr.; two great-granddaughters, Addisyn Clark, Amiah Dietsch; and special nephew, Jeff (Debbie) Dietsch. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.

Jerry touched me with his sweetness in character & suckers. Every time I see a dum dum or tootsie pop I will think of him. All he wanted to do was share them.
I was not blessed enough to know him very long, but as long as I did he made an impression on me.

Sorry for your loss, I worked with Jerry, at International, all of us at work. Enjoyed, Jerry and his sense of humor. He will be missed from everyone who knew him. My deepest sympathy Don Collier.
